One island in The Maldives that has become an All Inclusive resort is Vilu Reef and Spa on South Nilandhe Atoll. Vilu Reef is a 4 star resort but if you are looking for ultra luxury then you should look at another island but Vilu Reef does offer very good value for money. The spa is not up to the standard of what you would expect at a top class resort on The Maldives, although, there are plans to improve it.

Also, the gym is very basic and the water villas don’t have some of the features that you would expect elsewhere like a glass floor.What Vilu Reef does give you though is low prices and, of course, you still get what all the islands have in The Maldives, which is beautiful white sand beaches with palm trees and clear water. Another advantage about Vilu Reef is that it is a small island with only 122 villas and rooms of which 40 are water villas most of which have a jacuzzi. The island is friendly and well managed.

As far as the rooms are concerned the basic rooms are the Deluxe Garden Villa rooms but they are comfortable and excellent value for money. If you have money to spend and you are on honeymoon then you might want to consider the Honeymoon Water Villas where you get the service of your own private butler.

Seaplane Transfer

Vilu Reef itself is quite a distance from Male, the capital, and you will need a seaplane transfer to get there, but that adds to the exitement.
