Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Dubai – Second best hotel in the world?

There are many hotels in the world that can lay claim to being the most luxurious in the world. Hotels on the stunning Indian Ocean islands of The Maldives might lay claim to the title. especially the luxury water villas. However, we think that a hotel that opened in Dubai in  January 2012 called Jumeirah Zabeel Saray might be laying claim to be the second most luxurious hotel in the world after the only 7 star hotel in the world the Burj al Arab

The hotel is located on The Palm. Visible from space The Palm is a man made island in the shape of a palm tree built into the Arabian Sea. With 405 rooms and suites the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has been built to the highest standards and includes an incredible 8,000sq m spa area.

There will be 8 restaurants at the hotel including the Imperium which has elegant crystal chandeliers and offers a wonderful dining experience.

Words can’t really describe what it is like to stay at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray so we thought that we would show you some images of the hotel.

There are not many hotels in the world that can boast that they have a bedroom big enough to sleep a large family of  8 adults and 4 children. You might get a villa in Florida that has 4 bedrooms but the quality won’t be anywhere near as good as the lagoon Villa at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray ! According to the Jumeirah website this is how they describe their Lagoon Villas –

Look out onto a spectacular lagoon style pool amongst tropical landscaping. This four bedroom Lagoon Residence includes 460 square meters floor area, not including sun terraces, open-air entrance with reflection pool, internal reflection pools, floors laid with Turkish marble depicting Ottoman motifs, teak decking area with rain shower offering immediate access to the community lagoon pool.

Selection of a “specialty” room which overlooks the lagoon pool: additional bedroom, children’s play room or workout room. External staircase leading to spacious terrace shaded by teak pergola. Four bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms, elegant living and dining room with parquet flooring, large kitchen with modern appliances, Hamam style bathrooms, maid’s quarters, and secure double garage.

Luxury Dining

Imperium, the hotel’s all day dining restaurant, features elegant crystal chandeliers, gilded columns and a terrace offering superb views of the sea. Enjoy a breakfast buffet with live cooking stations serving international and French inspired cuisine, and a la carte brasserie lunch and dinner. The stunning surroundings also make Imperium a grand and elegant setting for special events and weddings.

The Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

At the heart of palatial spa, is an authentic and spectacular Turkish spa and hammam. Throughout the centuries, the hammam was not only a place for bathing; it was a cultural tradition revered as a focal point for relaxing, meeting friends, associates and celebrating special events. Today this timeless tradition continues.

Begin a journey of wellbeing which combines the ancient healing philosophies of the Ottomans with modern-day spa technology and luxury. Marvel at the elaborate interiors, the crafted marble, the mosaics and stunning murals in an atmosphere infused with delicate aromas of the orient. If you haven’t visited a Hammam then you are in for a treat. Be prepared for the massage of your life and more soap than a student launderette!
