As well as visiting many holiday destinations abroad we also like to visit interesting places here in the UK. It is surprising how many beautiful places you can find not far from your own home. Global Holidays is based in Leeds and we are not far from Leeds city centre and the River Aire and the Leeds Liverpool Canal. A few days ago we took a stroll down to the Leeds Liverpool canal and it really is a pleasant walk through some beautiful countryside, yet the pictures below were taken only 5 miles from Leeds city centre!
The towpath along the Leeds Liverpool canal is a great place to walk and it is also great for cycling as the section we walked along was part of the National Cycle Network known as Route 66.
